This is hands-down one of the most practical books I’ve read on breaking out of negative mental loops like comparison, distraction, and worry. Kyle Idleman does a great job bridging brain science and Scripture, showing us that taking our thoughts captive isn’t just a nice Sunday concept... It’s how we actually experience God’s peace. This will completely change the way you look at your daily thought life.

In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day
This is the ultimate wake-up call for anyone who feels stuck or afraid of taking risks. Mark Batterson takes this obscure, wild Old Testament story about a guy named Benaiah who literally chases a lion into a pit and uses it to flip how we see our problems. He shows us that the obstacles we run from are often the exact opportunities God uses to unleash our potential. Radical
This was the first Christian book I read, and it felt like going from 0-100 in days! This book challenges us to look past the comfortable, modern American-dream version of Christianity and see what Jesus actually asked of his disciples… total surrender. It’s a gut-check, but in the best way possible. If you’re ready to move past a comfortable faith and discover what a life completely on fire for the gospel looks like, this will get you on the road to that.

The Will of God as a Way of Life

Seeing the Supernatural
Written by the same author as The Case for Christ, this book takes an investigative lens towards supernatural instances that most of us are already curious about. It’s so important for us as believers, and even skeptics, to not ignore and to have a biblical understanding of the supernatural side of God.
