How old is your daughter?
Tap her age. AHG sorts girls into five levels, and each one has its own uniform, its own badges and its own way of growing up.
Ages 6, 9, 12 and 14 sit on a boundary between two levels. The troop places her by school grade, so ask if you're not sure.
That's where she'd start. The next step isn't signing anything, it's turning up on a Tuesday.

Badges are earned outdoors as often as indoors. Girls paddle, climb, navigate, camp and come home telling you about it.
The girls she'll still know in high school
A girl can join at five and still be here at seventeen, in the same room, with the same families. By then she's the one the little ones are copying. Almost nothing else in a family's life runs that long.
Older girls lead the younger ones on purpose. It's how the troop works, not a nice extra.
Thirteen years on one sash
Every badge on it was worked for. Read the sash of a girl about to graduate and you can see what she learned, where she served and what she stuck at.
- She learns. Cooking, sewing, first aid, money sense, the outdoors, and a long list she picks herself.
- She serves. Local outreach, family support, and troop projects the girls plan themselves.
- She leads. By the top levels she is running the unit while leaders step back into support.
- She grows. Every badge and campout is rooted in Scripture, so the character work and the skills arrive together.
Thirteen years is a long way off. A Tuesday evening isn't.

These are our girls, on our campus. The troop meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month. Trail Life Troop CA-4620 is a separate troop with its own leadership and charter, and it meets the same evening.
Building women of integrity
The next four Tuesdays she could come
The troop meets twice a month, on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month. Turn up to any of these and someone will be watching for you.

Every meeting runs 6:30 to 8 PM on the New Hope campus. See it on the church calendar (opens Church Center in a new tab).
What does it cost?
American Heritage Girls charges a national membership fee and each troop sets its own dues on top of it, so the figure moves year to year. There's a uniform too. Ask the troop what a new girl actually needs to start and they'll give you this year's numbers rather than a guess.
Does she need a uniform to visit?
No. Come in what she's already wearing. The uniform matters once she joins, not the first time she walks in.
What if we can only make some of the meetings?
The troop meets twice a month, so the calendar is lighter than most weeknight programs. Girls miss meetings for sport and family and pick it back up.
How do we actually join?
Registration is handled by American Heritage Girls, not by New Hope, and cannot be completed on this page. It starts with an interest form on AHG's own site rather than an instant sign-up, and the troop follows up from there.
Because those forms live on AHG's system, anything you enter there, including your daughter's details, is governed by American Heritage Girls' privacy policy (opens in a new tab) rather than ours. Questions about registration go to AHG or to the troop. Questions about New Hope go to our office.
Come and see a Tuesday first either way. Ask us and we'll walk you through it.
Bring your daughter
Come and look before you decide anything. The leaders will walk you through exactly what happens on a first night.
