What it is

Girls building character with Scripture in view.

American Heritage Girls describes itself as building women of integrity through service to God, family, community, and country.

  • Faith-based character development. A Christ-centered leadership program founded in 1995 that guides girls toward integrity and godly values through structured activities and adult mentorship.
  • Comprehensive girl experiences. Members work through badge programs, service projects, leadership opportunities, and outdoor adventures, with Christian values and family involvement woven into all of it.
  • National reach, local rooms. Over 70,000 members in more than 1,300 troops across all 50 states and six countries, supported by thousands of volunteers who build hearts for faith and service.
  • The AHG Oath and Creed. Girls of any background are welcome; members commit to being compassionate, honest, loyal, and respectful as a shared baseline of character.

At New Hope, Troop CA-4620 meets on a weeknight at the Clovis campus. Life-skill training (sewing, first aid, cooking, finance), outdoor experiences, community service, and Scripture-anchored character teaching.

On the calendar

When the troop meets.

A standing weeknight meeting at the New Hope campus, plus whatever else the troop has on the books for the next few weeks.

Three pillars

What the program is built on.

01 · Faith

A Christian foundation.

Every meeting, every badge, every campout is rooted in Scripture. Girls grow in faith alongside the practical skills they're learning.

02 · Service

Girls who serve others.

Community service is a thread through the whole program. Local outreach, family support, troop service projects, the works.

03 · Fun

Life skills and real friendships.

Cooking, sewing, first aid, outdoor adventure, money sense. Plus the kind of friendships that get built over years of showing up together.

Side by side, separate troops

Two troops, one number, one drop-off.

AHG Troop CA-4620 and Trail Life Troop CA-4620 are two separate troops. Each has its own leadership, charter, advancement system, and room. They meet the same evening so families with both boys and girls can drop everyone off in one trip.

The two troops share the CA-4620 number by NH's choice; everything else operates independently.

For the boys in the family.

If you have boys in the household alongside the girls, Trail Life Troop CA-4620 meets the same evening on the same campus. Drop everyone off in one trip.
