Baptism is a symbolic act, a public profession of faith in Jesus. At New Hope it is also a family moment: a congregation gathered, voices raised, a person stepping into water and stepping out into the long, slow work of following Jesus.
The act itself takes about a minute. The decision behind it carries the rest of a life.
If you have made the decision to follow Jesus, you are ready. We baptize high schoolers, college students, adults of every season, and kids whose families have walked them through what it means.
However long you have walked with Jesus, this is a moment we would gather around.
Every face here said yes to following Jesus, and we celebrated with each one.

Most of it happens in one form and one conversation.
