Why three identical services?

We hear this question often. Why not run a "traditional" service and a "contemporary" one? Why not a teaching service and a discussion-based one?

The shortest answer is that we are one church. The pastors prepare one message each week, the worship team rehearses one set of songs, and we share that one service three times. Whether you come at 8, 9:30, or 11 AM, you sit under the same teaching as everyone else who comes that Sunday. The hour you pick is purely about your schedule.

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”

Acts 2:42, NIV

What does change between hours is the supporting programs running alongside the worship service:

  • 8 AM: Worship and Adult Sunday School. Smaller crowd, often retired members and early risers. New Hope Kids is not offered.
  • 9:30 AM: Worship, Adult Sunday School, New Hope Kids, and the livestream. The fullest hour. Best for families with young kids, and for anyone watching from home.
  • 11 AM: Worship, New Hope Kids, and Student Ministries. The hour student programming runs.
