Jesus told stories that reached into everyday life. A father waiting on the porch. A coin under a chair. A seed in dry ground. The parables look simple at first. They are not. Jesus used them to open the heart of God to anyone willing to listen carefully.
Across nine Sundays this spring, we are reading a parable a week. Some are familiar. Some will surprise you. We are going slow on purpose. The point is to let the stories do what Jesus made them to do, which is to rearrange how we live.
