Jude meant to write about the salvation we share. Instead he picked up his pen to warn the church about teachers who had slipped in among them, turning grace into an excuse to do whatever they pleased. His letter is short, only twenty-five verses, and it does not flinch.
Over two weeks at New Hope in Clovis, Pastor Mark Addis walked us through Jude's call to contend for the faith, how to recognize what is false, how to stay anchored in the love of God, and how to reach for those who are slipping. Jude ends not in fear but in worship, with the great promise that God is able to keep us from falling.
