Kingdom Stories

Kingdom Stories, Parable of the Hidden Treasure and The Pearl

In this week's Kingdom Story message with Pastor Andrew Lynch, we'll look at the way Jesus challenges our human way of thinking with the twin Parables of the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl. All of us are inundated with the value system of our society every day. Every action we take reveals the values that we hold. The question is, are the things that we desire actually that valuable? Jesus wants us to see that nothing is worth more than the Kingdom of God.

Kingdom Stories, Parable of the Sower

Many wonder why Jesus taught using parables, which are open to interpretation and easy to misunderstand. Wouldn’t it make more sense to teach about something as important as the Kingdom of God in concrete, literal ways? This week we will discover that Jesus wants to give us much more than mere head knowledge. He intends to teach us how to see and hear the mysteries of the Kingdom with eyes and ears opened by God.
In this Sunday’s Kingdom Story we will encounter another important aspect of the God’s Kingdom through the Parable of the Sower and we will ask ourselves the all-important question: What is the condition of my heart? God wants to grow his kingdom in and through your heart—a heart that is fully surrendered to Him.

Kingdom Stories, Parable of the Bags of Gold

Jesus was always teaching about the Kingdom of God. In fact, the very first thing Jesus preached after his baptism was this: “Repent, for the Kingdom of God is near.” Throughout his ministry, Jesus told many parables to illustrate his teachings of God’s Kingdom. Pastor Andrew Lynch in an ongoing sermon series called "Kingdom Stories" starts by examining the Parable of the Bags of Gold, in which we'll discover an unexpected source of joy. In the Kingdom of God our greatest joy is found in faithfully putting to use whatever God has entrusted to us.
These messages in the “Kingdom Stories” series will show us the heart of God and help us to see what God’s kingdom is like as it breaks through into the reality of our lives. A look at Matthew 25: 14-30.
